The absence of biscuits during my coffee breaks has truly turned my elevenses upside down.
Imagine the agony! Writing without a biscuit to accompany my beloved strong black coffee for an entire month has not curbed my cravings. I yearn to cradle a warm mug in my hands and relish the experience of dunking a biscuit or two. This unfortunate situation is a result of my commitment to a healthier lifestyle. By reducing my caffeine intake, I aim to reap positive benefits and enhance my overall well-being.
The brilliant mind behind the idea of eliminating biscuits from my morning routine clearly underestimated the importance of this ritual. My solitary coffee time—my only indulgence before noon—has been stripped of its joy, adversely affecting my creative writing process.
As expected, the benefits of this sacrifice have been considerable; otherwise, why would one willingly endure such a struggle? For instance, my writing space is now crumb-free and devoid of any coffee spills or biscuit dunking mishaps for the past 27 days.
Another silver lining during this challenging period is the state of my keyboard. Previously, it might have been deemed a health hazard in an office environment due to soggy biscuit incidents. Thankfully, those days of repeatedly pressing the G key to get it functioning are behind me.
