Exploring My Wildlife Photography Journey: Seeking Your Input

Chapter 1: The Process of Reflection
It's intriguing how insights often emerge while we engage in activities. In recent articles, I've shared my experiences of organizing and reviewing my extensive collection of wildlife photographs.
Currently, I am still in the process of sorting through these images. As I ponder their future, I believe I've arrived at a potential solution but would greatly appreciate feedback from my readers.
This brings me to my decision to categorize my work into three distinct groups:
- Images for Potential Printing — I'm still nurturing the dream of establishing an art gallery, although selling online is also a possibility.
- Stock Photography — Over the years, I’ve sold a handful of images to magazines and newspapers. While I have some listed on stock platforms, I haven’t been very active in this area. I often contemplate whether to sell my work at lower prices, but that’s a topic for another time.
- A Personal Collection — I view my images as a visual diary of my life over the last 50+ years, capturing memories of locations and experiences. Each photo tells a story, serving as a reminder of moments frozen in time.
Here's where my thoughts stand:
I have no plans to initiate a publication on Medium unless it's possible to create one solely for my articles (though I enjoy contributing to Weeds & Wildflowers).
Additionally, I am considering reviving my neglected website with a blog section that presents images and their accompanying stories chronologically. Alternatively, would it be more effective to compile a list here on Medium and organize the articles accordingly?
If anyone has suggestions, I’m all ears. I believe there could be interest in these narratives, but even if not, documenting my adventures with nature is something I love.
I noticed you, Dennett, have undertaken a similar venture, and since you and Louise manage a publication, your guidance would be invaluable.
This is my current status.
Chapter 2: Behind the Scenes
The creative process often involves more than just the final product. It’s about the journey that leads to it, filled with challenges and triumphs.
In this video, you can see the behind-the-scenes effort that goes into crafting a piece of art and the personal touches that make it special.
